Income fluctuations
In general, it makes sense to have figures from the most recent 3-year period in order to identify and correct for possible fluctuations.
When it comes to trends, it is advised to be on the lookout for high deviations or one-off payments. Ways to deal with such scenarios are:
- Clarifying the reason for the discrepancy
- Requesting figures for a longer period
- Requesting a forecast (this should be considered with caution)
- Neglecting certain extremes or one-off payments in the calculation or taking them only partially into account
- Evaluate income development to identify any trend
When the contractually granted, basic salary of an employed person increases, the new salary can be used in the calculation.
